Phoenix coffeehouse Hava Java to expand to northeast Mesa

By Jess Harter Wednesday, June 19, 2019

Hava Java, a 27-year-old coffeehouse near the Biltmore in Phoenix, is expanding to the East Valley.

Owner Justin Shafer, who has opened and sold two other Hava Java locations over the years, is launching a new location on the northeast corner of Power and McDowell in northeast Mesa.

It will be three times larger than the original and have front and back patios.

Shafer also is expanding Hava Java’s menu at both locations with new breakfast items, such as breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos.

The Mesa location also will offer craft beers and wine – which are not available at the Phoenix one.

Look for Hava Java to open in August.
