Today is the first-ever Bourdain Day, an opportunity to honor the late Anthony Bourdain and his legacy.
The day is the idea of two of the world’s top chefs, Éric Ripert and José Andrés, who announced it three weeks ago on Instagram.
Their idea?
‘‘Taking a moment to post & share your tributes & memories of Anthony using #BourdainDay & wish him Peace, Love and a very Happy Birthday on his journey.’’
Across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other platforms today, fans are posting photos of beers, glasses of wine, and even tea, toasting the former chef, restaurateur, author, and TV host.
Bourdain died by suicide on June 8, 2018. Today would have been his 63rd birthday.
