Fusion Tea Lounge, a tea room that also serves Asian fusion food, has opened on the northeast corner of McClintock and Southern in Tempe.
It takes over the longtime Nello’s Pizza space, which briefly was replaced by Happy’s Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream before closing in 2017.
Fusion Tea Lounge features more than 20 flavors of milk teas – such as coconut taro, banana mango, and strawberry honeydew – as well as lemon-infused teas and cream teas.
The ‘‘tapas’’ menu is divided into small and large plates.
Small plates include popcorn chicken with chile mayo (pictured, $6), scallion pancakes ($5), spicy steamed dumplings ($7), and crab pizza ($6).
Large plates include avocado rolled and fried in a flour tortilla and served with a sweet cilantro sauce ($7), ramen panko wings ($12), and cauliflower fried rice ($10).
Fusion Tea Lounge is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon-9 p.m. Sunday.
