Farmboy Market, Meats and Sandwiches in south Chandler will host a ‘‘Meet the Producers’’ food and wine from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18.
Special guests will include Kim and Phil Asmundson, owners of Deep Sky Vineyard in Elgin, and Wendell Crow of Crow’s Dairy in Buckeye.
The casual reception and wine tasting will feature four pairings:
- Reception: Crooked Sky Farms watermelon and Crow’s Dairy feta cheese with fresh mint, paired with 2016 Nebula rosé;
- 1st tasting: Crooked Sky Farms sweet corn and Crow’s Dairy cotija cheese dip with sourdough crostini, paired with 2017 Aurora Viogner;
- 2nd tasting: Crow’s Dairy goat herbed chevre and shaved Arizona grass-raised pecan-smoked sirloin with Hayden Mills Blue Beard Flour crackers, paired with 2015 Supernova Mourvedre red blend;
- 3rd tasting: Goat milk quark cheesecake with seasonal fruit topping, paired with 2015 Eclipse Malbec-Grenache.
