The Parlay Kitchen & Cocktail, a gastropub offering modern American cuisine and craft cocktails, is taking over the former Meridiem Kitchen & Lounge in south Chandler.
Meridiem, which occupied a new building on Price just south of the 202, closed in January after 19 months in business.
The Parlay is a partnership between Jason and Brittney Kafcas, who own four Fat Willy’s Family Sports Grills in the East Valley, and Kyle and Erica Walters.
Kyle Walters, formerly the manager of the Fat Willy’s in south Chandler, says The Parlay plans to begin hiring staff in mid-August.
The restaurant’s opening tentatively is scheduled for late summer.
