Panini Kabob Grill, Obon + Sushi + Ramen coming to north Tempe

By Jess Harter Tuesday, July 16, 2019

The Watermark Tempe, a $150 million mixed-use development under construction on the north side of Tempe Town Lake, has announced its first two restaurants: Panini Kabob Grill and Obon + Sushi + Ramen.

It will be the first Arizona location for California-based Panini Kabob Grill, which offers grilled panini sandwiches, wraps, and Mediterranean-inspired entrees.

Obon, a modern eatery and bar, was founded in Tucson in 2015 and opened locations in Scottsdale in 2017 and last month.

The Watermark Tempe’s first phase, which will include 44,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space, is scheduled to open in September.

The development also will include office space, luxury apartment, and a splash pad that will connect to the boardwalk and the lake.
