It’s time to order your annual Hatch chiles from La Ristra in Gilbert

It’s that time of year again: La Ristra New Mexican Kitchen in Gilbert is taking orders for its annual Hatch chile sale.

The restaurant’s staff makes a trip to Hatch, N.M., at the end of every summer to buy their year’s supply of chiles, which it then will roast in its parking lot during a two-day party on Sept. 6-7.

You can order a 40-pound sack of chiles that the restaurant will roast for you. Cost is $50 for a sack or $90 for two sacks.

You can specify your heat level: mild, medium, hot, extra hot, or XXX hot.
