Good news for fans of Mary Coyle Ol’ Fashion Ice Cream.
The iconic Phoenix ice cream shop, which closed in April after nearly 68 years (on and off) in business, is building a new location at the Tapestry on Central condominiums on the northwest corner of Central and Encanto in Phoenix.
Mary Coyle has occupied several different locations in Phoenix. It announced it was closing in 2011, but was sold at the last minute. It did close for several months in 2014-15.
The new 1,200-square-foot location, across the street from the Heard Museum, is scheduled to open in September.
