Arcade bars — bars featuring a large selection of video and pinball games — seem to be the concept du jour in the East Valley.
MXSW recently broke the news that an arcade bar called The Uncommon was coming to downtown Chandler. Now downtown Gilbert is getting an arcade bar as well
Level 1 Arcade Bar is moving into the former Grubstak, which closed in April, behind Barrio Queen.
The ownership group includes Ariel Bracamonte, the owner of 3-year-old Cobra Arcade Bar in Phoenix, according to AZCentral.com
Level 1 Arcade Bar plans to offer a rotating selection of more than 100 games, such as Mortal Kombat and Ms. Pac-Man.
The business will be open to all ages during the day but limited to those 21 and over after 7 p.m.
Level 1 Arcade Bar is expected to open in November.
