Romeo’s Euro Cafe in downtown Gilbert will host its monthly ‘‘3rd Tuesday’’ dinner – featuring three new food dishes paired with three wines – at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20.
The three-course dinners feature three new dishes from chef Romeo Taus’ creative kitchen crew paired with three wines selected by the knowledgeable waitstaff:
- Tapas Trio: Pickled hard-boiled eggs, coleslaw, spicy bacon, balsamic peppers and onions, sausage lollipops, pimento cheese olive loaf, and remoulade. Paired with 2013 Silverado Vineyards Sangiovese Rosato, Napa Valley.
- Short Rib Peposo: Boneless beef short rib cooked slowly with mirepoix, red wine, garlic, crushed peppercorns, lemon pepper roasted potatoes, gigantes beans, and gremolata. Paired with 2016 McManis Jamie Lynn Vineyard Barbera.
- Dessert: Blackberry chocolate ganache cheesecake. Paired with 2015 Black Stallion Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley.
