Surf & turf restaurant Maple & Ash opens today at Scottsdale Waterfront

Maple & Ash, a high-end surf-and-turf restaurant out of Chicago, opens its second location at 5 p.m. today at the Scottsdale Waterfront on the southwest corner of Scottsdale and Camelback. It takes over the former Wildfish Seafood Grille, which closed in March 2018.

The 10,000-square-foot-plus space will feature a 14-foot wood-burning hearth and a spacious outdoor dining deck. The kitchen is headed by Danny Grant, who helms the Chicago original, and Valley chef Sean Currid. The pair previously worked together at Elements in Paradise Valley.

Steaks range from a 10-ounce hanger and frites for $28 to a 24-ounce 45-day dry-aged tomahawk for $175. The house surf and turf – a 6-ounce filet mignon and a half lobster – will run you $69, while the hearth-roasted seafood tower (pictured) tops out at $184.

Got money to burn? Savor an ounce of Ossetra caviar for $220. And if you just can’t make up your mind about what to order, Maple & Ash has a chef’s choice ‘‘I Don’t Give a F*@k’’ option for $155.

Maple & Ash is open 5-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 5-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
