Aug. 24: Cancer fundraiser peach wheat beer release at Old Ellsworth Brewing

By Jess Harter Friday, August 23, 2019

Old Ellsworth Brewing in Queen Creek will release Blood Peach Wheat, a special beer to raise funds for families dealing with cancer, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24.

The beer, made with malted white wheat from Grain R&D and more than 200 pounds of blood peach puree, is a collaboration with Hope Is Brewing.

Taylor Kaczmarek, who worked at Uncle Bear’s Brewery, founded Hope is Brewing after being diagnosed with cancer and losing his school scholarships.

Kaczmarek (pictured on left with Old Ellsworth head brewer Ryan Bostrom) received financial help from others and now tries to offer that same kind of help to others.

The foundation solicits, manages, and distributes funds and social and emotional assistance to individuals and families battling cancer.
