PHX Beer Co. opens 2nd rebranded restaurant in Scottsdale

PHX Beer Co., which bought out and replaced Phoenix Ale Brewery this month, has opened a second location of its restaurant (formerly known as Central Kitchen) on the west side of Hayden, just north of Via de Ventura, in Scottsdale.

The then-Phoenix Ale Brewery Central Kitchen was opened on the east side of Seventh Street, just south of Bethany Home, in Phoenix in 2016 by former NYPD Pizza CEO Rich Stark, now PHX Beer Co. director of hospitality operations.

PHX Beer Co. since has dropped the name Central Kitchen. The two restaurants now are known as PHX Beer Co. Phoenix and PHX Beer Co. Scottsdale.

The menu features sandwiches, iron-pan pizzas, and comfort entrees like fried chicken, fish and chips, and macaroni and cheese.

The 3,400-square-foot Scottsdale location has the requisite glass garage-style doors opening to a 1,500-square-foot, dog-friendly patio. Kegs have been recycled for everything from doors to chandeliers.

A grand opening party will be held 6-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, with food and drink specials and tours.
