Deez Buns, a restaurant offering Asian-inspired sandwiches in steamed buns, has opened on the northeast corner of Priest and Washington in north Tempe.
The concept is a partnership between the owners of Korean restaurant Drunken Tiger in Mesa and Filipino pop-up Good Fortune Kitchen.
The soft-opening menu features seven burger-like sandwiches:
- BTS (bulgogi , tomato, and slaw)
- Longsilog (cured Filipino sausage)
- Pho (a sandwich take on the Vietnamese noodle soup, pictured on right))
- PBLT (pork belly, lettuce, and tomato)
- KFC (Korean fried chicken)
- Satay (Indonesian BBQ skewers, pictured on left)
All are $5.
Deez Buns is open 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Hours, and the menu, may be expanded this fall.
