Eat Smart, a cafe-like concept with a wide-ranging all-day menu, has opened on the southeast corner of Chandler Boulevard and Desert Foothills Parkway in Ahwatukee.

It takes over a former Jack in the Box restaurant.

There are a half-dozen kinds of waffles ($6.99)-$8.25), seven crepes ($7.99), breakfast burros and tortas ($6.25-$7.99), and six breakfast sandwiches ($3.99-$9.39).

Sandwiches – nine specialty ($5.39-$9.99) and 17 others ($2.99-$9.99) – and third-pound burgers ($3.99-$5.99) dominate the lunch and dinner menu.

Salads ($7.99-$9.39), bowls ($7.50-$7.99), wraps ($6.99-$7.99) round out the menu.
