Back in July, MXSW broke the news Pita Jungle was taking over the former Osteria spot in northeast Mesa. Now we know what month it will open: November.
The restaurant on the southeast corner of Alta Mesa and McKellips will be the Tempe-born chain’s 23rd location and third in Mesa.
“The East Valley, and Mesa in particular, has proved to be a fertile and vibrant ground for the spread of our healthful eaters,’’ Pita Jungle co-founder Bassel Osmani says.
The restaurants serve a Mediterranean-inspired menu, including a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
