Prep & Pastry, a popular brunch spot in Tucson, opens its third location – and first in the Valley – today at the Scottsdale Waterfront.
“After six years in Tucson, it just felt like the right time and the perfect place to come to Scottsdale, owner Nathan Ares says.
The 140-seat, indoor-outdoor space wraps around the ground floor of the Broadstone Waterfront apartment building on the northeast corner of Goldwater and the Arizona Canal, just south of Scottsdale Fashion Square.
The menu offers dishes like Cast Iron Duck Confit, Oven Roasted Sweet Potato Hash, and Everything Croissant Sammie. Signature pastries include Early Grey Scones and Candied Maple Bacon Dossants.
The bar provides an extensive selection of craft cocktails, highlighted by build-your-own mimosas.
Ares, whose resume includes stints with Fox Restaurant Concepts and RA Sushi, partnered with chef Kyle Nottingham to launch the original Prep & Pastry six years ago.
Ares also owns two other Tucson concepts: Commoner & Co. and August Rhodes Market.
Prep & Pastry is open 7 a.m.-3 p.m. daily.
