Original ChopShop, a health-focused fast-casual concept, opens its eighth Valley location at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, on the northeast corner of I-10 and Warner in south Tempe.

Ryan Jocque, Caitlin Jocque, Chad Landau, and Brooks Holcomb launched the original Original ChopShop in Scottsdale in 2013, offering sandwiches, salads and breakfast items.

They added a second location near ASU in Tempe, then sold a majority stake in the company to an investment firm that has expanded the concept’s footprint, including three locations in Texas.

The first 50 guests in line Wednesday will receive a free breakfast entree, a super fruit bowl and parfait, or a proeteinb shake and juice. People will not be allowed to line up before 6:30 a.m.

Starting at 10 a.m., the first 100 people who get in line for lunch will get a free salad, sandwich, or protein bowl.
