The Nook, a breakfast and lunch eatery, has debuted on the southeast corner of Higley and Queen Creek in south Gilbert.
Since opening in 2013, the restaurant was The Egg & I, but the owners have decided to cut franchising ties with the Denver-based chain.
An expansive breakfast menu ranges from gluten-free oatmeal pancakes to biscuits and gravy to five kinds of Eggs Benedict.
The lunch menu is somewhat smaller, offering five sandwiches, three salads, and a soup of the day.

Hours are 6 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday and 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
