Heaven on a Spoon, a family-owned gelato shop, has opened on the northwest corner of Gilbert and University in Mesa.
The Lombardo family previously operated Lombardo’s Gelato stands at several Valley malls, including Fiesta Mall in Mesa and Arizona Mills in Tempe.
Just one Lombardo’s remains – at Metrocenter in west Phoenix.
‘‘Heaven on a Spoon’’ has been Lombardo’s slogan and now becomes the name of the new location.
Hours are 10:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Closed Sunday.
