Minnesota’s Surly Brewing, which made its Arizona debut in 2017 through a limited deal with Total Wine & More stores, is expanding its distribution in the state.
Starting today, the Minneapolis brewery’s flagship This is Furious IPA – as well as its core, seasonal, and limited-release beers – will begin rolling out at Arizona stores, bars, and restaurants.
‘‘We’ve been hoping to introduce Surly to the Arizona market for years now,’’ says Bob Repp, Surly’s vice president of sales and Arizona native. ‘‘The stars finally aligned, and we’re thrilled to set up shop across the state.’’
Opening week events will include:
- ‘‘Tacos, Beers & Baos with Surly’’ at Yucca Tap Room in Tempe from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15;
- Tap takeover at Taste of Tops in Tempe from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15;
- Surly tap takeover at Kings Beer & Wine in Phoenix from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16;
- Surly tap takeover at The Hungry Monk in Chandler from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17.
