Toca Madera, a modern Mexican concept out of Los Angeles, makes its Arizona debut today on Goldwater Boulevard in the new luxury wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square.
The 8,000-square-foot restaurant is located next to its sibling concept, Tocaya Organica, which opened in May.
Toca Madera’s menu features diverse choices, such as:
- Free-range chicken, grass-fed carne asada, and American (pictured) or Japanese wagyu served over hot lava stones;
- Five kinds of tacos, including their signature Sea Bass Ensenada tacos, served on handmade blue corn tortillas;
- A raw bar with Mexican sashimi, Chilean sea bass ceviche, and more;
- Mole de Olla, a slow-baked shredded organic chicken breast in Oaxacan mole negro;
- Scallops en Pipiann Verde with garlic roasted pepita seeds, crusted pepper, and yellow tomato sauce.
Hours are 5 p.m.-2 a.m. Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, and 5 p.m.-1 a.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Closed Mondays until Nov. 10.
