In what’s arguably the Valley’s most-anticipated restaurant opening of 2019, White Castle makes its Arizona debut at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The chain’s largest-ever restaurant is located near the northwest corner of Via De Ventura and the Loop 101, just north of Salt River Fields, in Scottsdale.
Famous for its iconic burgers known as sliders, White Castle was founded in Wichita, Kan., in 1921, making it America’s oldest fast-food hamburger chain.
The Scottsdale location is be one of just three nationwide to offer a special 1921 Burger, made with beef smashed into onions like the original slider in the 1920s.
The menu also offers a variety of chicken, fish, and veggie sliders. For breakfast, there are sliders topped with an egg, as well as chicken and waffle sliders.
Diners will be able to order at a traditional counter or at self-serve kiosks.
White Castle will be open 24 hours daily.
