If you’ve always wanted to attend one of the weekly tasting dinners at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert but can’t make it on Thursdays, here’s your chance.
Because of Thanksgiving, this week’s dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27.
The dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu.
This week’s selections:
- Peppers Spanaki: A sweet colored bell pepper halved and stuffed with mozzarella, spinach, and brown rice and baked with tomato sauce;
- Balsamic Steak Salad: Grilled steak tossed in olive oil, balsamic, and vinegar with roasted red peppers, scallions, tomatoes, mushrooms, red cabbage, artichoke hearts, and sunflower seeds on romaine lettuce;
- Garlic Chicken Pesto: Chicken breast sauteed with roasted garlic and pine nuts in basil pesto cream;
- Goat Shrimp: Bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp with feta and sun-dried tomato stuffing, served with sauteed vegetables;
- Blackberry Chocolate Mousse tart.
Cost is $35 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
