La Ristra New Mexican Kitchen, a 6-year-old restaurant and bar in Gilbert, will open a second location at Overstreet in downtown Chandler.
It will take over a portion of a large space originally planned for a second location Camp Social next to Flix Brewhouse on the southwest corner of Arizona and Chandler.
The camping-themed restaurant and bar in Phoenix closed in June, and the developer of Overstreet approached La Ristra.
The new space will be about the same size as La Ristra’s existing location and offer the same menu, including green chile burritos, adovada short ribs, and blue corn stacked enchiladas.
It will have a tequila bar and two private rooms.
La Ristra hopes to have the Chandler location open by May.
