The Sicilian Butcher scheduled to finally open Dec. 19 in Chandler

By Jess Harter Monday, December 2, 2019

The Sicilian Butcher and The Sicilian Baker – originally scheduled to open in Chandler last December – appear to be almost ready.

Barring any last-minute delays, the two Italian concepts are scheduled to open on the southwest corner of the Loop 101 and Frye on Thursday, Dec. 19.

The Sicilian Butcher offers craft meatballs, house-made pastas, and charcuterie. The Sicilian Baker is an Italian bakery with a build-your-own cannoli bar.

The businesses, which share a 6,500-square-foot building, will hold a hiring fair from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, and Wednesday, Dec. 4, to fill 200 positions.

The family-run Maggiore Group debuted The Sicilian Butcher in north Phoenix in 2016 and The Sicilian Baker next door earlier this year.

The restaurant group’s other concepts include Hash Kitchen in Chandler.
