Angry Crab Shack, a Mesa-based chain specializing in seafood and boils with Asian and Cajun flavors, has closed its Ahwatukee location.
The restaurant, located on northeast corner of Ranch Circle and Ray, opened in 2015.
“We’re sad to announce that our franchised Ahwatukee location is closing,” Angry Crab Shack founder Ron Lou says. “We look forward to continuing to serve our fresh, high-quality seafood to our valued guests throughout Arizona.”
The chain, which debuted in 2013, still has nine locations in Arizona, including seven in the Valley.
It plans to open a location in Surprise by the end of this month and at least two others (locations not yet announced) in 2020.
It hopes to have 100 restaurants nationwide by 2023.
