Irish pubs Fibber Magees in Chandler and Skeptical Chymist in Scottsdale are holding a “Take the Leap Day” promotion where up to four lucky couples can win a free wedding on Saturday, Feb. 29.
“We host many wedding receptions at both locations every year so we know how to make sure this will be a special event for the lucky couple,’’ says Matt Brennan, owner of the pubs. ‘‘In fact, I had my own wedding reception at Fibber Magees and it was a blast.”
The pubs plan to provide a certified officiant, a complimentary food buffet, penny drinks for the bride and groom, a wedding cake, and live entertainment.
‘‘We feel we’ve covered all the bases,’’ Brennan says. ‘‘All the couples will need to do is invite their guests and show up. We’ll take care of the rest and hopefully save them a lot of money and hassle.’’
