12 West Brewing plans Dec. 31 opening in downtown Mesa

By Jess Harter Monday, December 9, 2019

We only have to wait three more weeks for the long-planned 12 West Brewing brewpub at its namesake address in downtown Mesa.

The venue, which plans to open Dec. 31, will have a full kitchen, a full bar with 12 taps, a two-level patio, and a to-go bar.

Bryan McCormick and Noel Garcia launched 12 West in 2016, naming it for the building McCormick owns near the northwest corner of Center and Main.

Since the building’s lease with another business didn’t expire until this year, 12 West’s 10-barrel brewing system was set up in McCormick’s home shop in east Mesa.

While waiting to move into the building, 12 West opened a small taproom with a 1-barrel system at Barnone at Agritopia in Gilbert in November 2016.

Garcia, who oversaw the brewing, left the business last month.
