West Alley BBQ, Obon Sushi, and The Creek Cookies & Cream are among the restaurants coming to Verde at Cooley Station, a mixed-used development on the southwest corner of Recker and Williams Field in Gilbert.

Tennessee-based West Alley opened its first Arizona location in downtown Chandler in December 2017. Beside smoked pork, brisket, chicken, and ribs, it offers live music several nights per week.

Obon was founded in Tucson in 2015 and added locations in Scottsdale in 2017 and earlier this year. It’s also working on a location at The Watermark mixed-use development at Tempe Town Lake.

The Creek debuted in Cave Creek in 2018. The menu includes ice cream sandwiches made with cookies, Rice Krispies bars, or doughnuts.

Verde at Cooley Station, which broke ground last month, is expected to begin opening in the fall of 2020.
