Chicken Astoria and Pasta Rustica will be the featured entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner, hosted by chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The dinners feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu. This week’s selections:
- Choripapa: Chorizo, poblano, and potato hash with an egg on top;
- Antipasto Salad: Genoa salami, ham capicola, pepperoni, Swiss and provolone cheeses, and vegetables with Italian dressing;
- Chicken Astoria: Chicken breast with Canadian bacon, baby corn, asparagus, artichokes, pea pods, mushrooms, and almonds sauteed in marsala cream sauce with kasseri cheese over linguini;
- Pasta Rustica: Mild Italian sausage and shrimp with zucchini, mushrooms, and sweet red peppers in basil-pesto cream with ziti;
- Sticky Toffee Pudding.
