Pizzeria and wine bar Grazie, a popular date night spot in Old Town Scottsdale, is closing after 18 years, but there’s some good news.
Acclaimed chef Gio Osso of nearby Virtù is taking over the building near the northwest corner of Goldwater and Main with a new concept, Pizzeria Virtù.
Osso began his Valley career with an interim gig at Grazie in 2002.
In a message on Grazie’s website, owners Maurizio and Sandi Cristiani, who are retiring, say Dec. 28 will be Grazie’s last day.
Pizzeria Virtù is scheduled to open in January.
