Taco Ball Cantina, the fast-food giant’s new “urban” concept that serves alcohol, has opened near the northeast corner of Mill and Fifth in downtown Tempe.
It takes over the space formerly home to Restaurant Mexico, which closed in August after a 41-year run, next to Cornish Pasty.
Besides Taco Bell’s familiar menu items, Taco Bell Cantina offers a few exclusive food items along with beer and alcohol-infused slushies (pictured).
The concept, which doesn’t have a drive-through and instead relies on foot traffic, made its Valley debut in downtown Phoenix in December 2018.
