Air Guitar, a convenience store concept that promises to pair ‘‘heathy grab-and-go items with premium beer and wine and exceptional coffee and tea,’’ will open in Gilbert late this year.
It will be built next to the under-construction Epicenter development at Agritopia on the northwest corner of Higley and Ray.
The concept is being led by Craig and Kris DeMarco (pictured on left) of Upward Projects – Postino, Joyride, Federal Pizza, etc. – and Eric and Elissa Seitz (right) of Bro Retail Group.
The couples are working in parallel with Epicenter founder Joe Johnston, who broke ground on his long-planned project last week.
‘‘Craig and Eric bat 1.000 when it comes to real estate selection, concept development and hospitality execution, and their vision to disrupt the staid segment of convenience stores will have far-reaching effects,” Johnston predicts.
