Josephine, a cozy restaurant and bar offering French-inspired ‘‘elevated yet approachable’’ cuisine, has opened in a century-old bungalow on the northwest corner of Third Street and Portland in downtown Phoenix.
It’s located next to the new Cambria Hotel in the Roosevelt Row Arts District.
Menu flavors from chef Ryan Pitt’s (former chef de cuisine at Monarch Cafe) span the globe from crispy Maine lobster a l’orange to New Zealand green curry lamb to Beijing-style noodles with duck confit.
Josephine is open for dinner nightly.
Behind the restaurant is a Parisian-inspired cocktail bar called Coupe de Grace lit by red neon and covered in risqué art and murals.
