New York City-based Shake Shack finally arrives in the East Valley today with the opening of its newest location at SanTan Village on the northeast corner of SanTan Village Parkway and Williams Field in Gilbert.
The first 100 people in line when doors open at 11 a.m. will get a free Shake Shack T-shirt.
The fast-casual burger eatery’s menu features all-natural Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, griddled flat-top dogs, crinkle-cut fries, and frozen custard desserts known as ‘‘concretes.’’
The Gilbert location will be donating 5% of the sales of its Pie Oh My concrete (vanilla custard and Four & Twenty Blackbirds pie) to Gilbert animal rescue Follow Your Heart.
Besides its namesake shakes, Shake Shack also serves local craft beers – in addition to its exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister Ale – and wine.
The first Arizona location opened in Scottsdale in 2016. Gilbert is its fifth location in the Valley.
Shake Shack is open for lunch and dinner daily.
