Morning Kick Breakfast & Cold Brew, an American-style breakfast and lunch eatery from the owners of a popular East Valley food truck with the same name, opens today on the northwest corner of Higley and Chandler Heights in southeast Gilbert.
The menu offers the truck’s popular breakfast burritos and bowls, as well as some new items, including sandwiches. It also serves the truck’s oft-ordered cold brew coffee.
The signature menu item is the Cowboy Breakfast Burrito with scrambled eggs, bacon, tater tots, and jack cheese.
Mindy Durall, a former teacher, and her husband, Scott Waldron, bought an ice cream truck in 2017 and converted it into the Morning Kick food truck, which has become a favorite at farmers markets and festivals.
The couple eventually added a second food truck, which they later sold, and they began looking for a bricks-and-mortar space a year ago.
Morning Kick is open 6:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
