Gordon Biersch, a national chain of brewery restaurants offering elevated pub fare and German-style beers, abruptly closed its 13-year-old location at SanTan Village in Gilbert over the weekend.
The chain’s only other Arizona location in Glendale also was closed. A location in downtown Tempe was closed last July.
Gordon Biersch is the third large chain restaurant to close at the Gilbert shopping center in the last six weeks, following Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que and Cantina Laredo.
Bourbon & Bones, a chophouse concept from Valley-based Square One Concepts (best-known for Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers), is moving into the Cantina Laredo space.
