Francine to bring cuisine from south of France to Scottsdale Fashion Square

Farmhouse, a California-based farm-to-table concept from famed restaurateur Laurent Halasz, is getting a new name for its new location at Scottsdale Fashion Square.

Halasz, probably best-known for his New York-based Fig & Olive restaurants, has renamed the Scottsdale location of Farmhouse after his mother, Francine.

The original location in Los Angeles still will be called Farmhouse.

While Fig & Olive offers coastal cuisine from France, Spain, and Italy, Francine will focus on the south of France, where Halasz was born.

“Everything on my mother’s table was fresh, seasonal, and full of flavor, and that is exactly what Francine will offer our guests,” Halasz says.

The 5,000-square-foot restaurant, which will serve lunch and dinner, will join just-opened Nobu, Toca Madera, and Ocean 44 in the mall’s luxury wing.

Francine is expected to open in late April.
