Support Chandler arts programs simply by going out to eat today

Today is Eat Your Art Out, an annual fundraiser for free arts programs administered by the Chandler Center for the Arts. Ten restaurants will be donating 25% of their proceeds during designated hours.

Serrano’s Mexican Restaurant in downtown Chandler also is offering a hands-on art experience – inviting diners to try creating graffiti art with spray paint from 5-7 p.m. tonight.

The restaurant will have notable Valley graffiti artists Noe ‘‘Such Styles’’ Baez and his son, Champ, in front of the restaurant to help out.

The father and son (pictured with Chandler mayor Kevin Hartke) painted a large mural at the restaurant to celebrate its centennial in November.

They also have a new exhibit, ‘‘Two People, Two Quarters,’’ at downtown’s Vision Gallery.
