Now open: Casa Blanca Bistro in southwest Mesa

By Jess Harter Tuesday, March 3, 2020

Casa Blanca Bistro, a husband-and-wife-run Mexican restaurant, has opened on the northwest corner of Dobson and Guadalupe in southwest Mesa.

It takes over the former Miele’s Italian restaurant, which closed in December.

House specialities are barbacoa lamb, braised for six hours in a mild red sauce, and cochinita pibil, slow-braised pork in achiote sauce.

Other entrees include tampiquena (grilled flank steak), chicken mole, ribeye steak with chipotle sauce, and six kinds of tacos.

Casa Blanca is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Closed Monday.
