Now open: Daily Dose next to Tempe Marketplace

Daily Dose, a chef-driven breakfast and lunch restaurant, has opened its third Valley location next to Tempe Marketplace. The local concept made its East Valley debut over the weekend next to the new Spinato’s Pizza on the northwest corner of Rio Salado and Rockford.

Chef Matt Long and his wife, JenLyn, launched the original Daily Dose in Old Town Scottsdale in 2008 and added a location in midtown Phoenix in 2012.

Daily Dose’s breakfast menu features creative dishes like Smores pancakes, maple almond crunch French toast, pigs in a bagel, and nine kinds of eggs Benedict.

For lunch, there’s salads, wraps, and crave-worthy andwiches, such as a blue crab patty melt and a red chile Reuben.

Daily Dose also makes one of my favorite burgers: The Gladiator with peppered bacon, cheddar/jack cheese, caramelized jalapeños and onions, and red chile sauce.

The restaurant and bar is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
