Maricopa County’s differing rules on alcohol consumption criticized

Dozens of members of the Valley’s food and drink industry have taken to social media to complain about new inconsistencies in Arizona’s alcohol-consumption regulations.

Phoenix (along with Tucson and Flagstaff) has banned the on-premise consumption of alcohol beginning at 8 p.m. tonight. Other cities, such as Scottsdale and Tempe, have not, so bars and restaurants can stay open until 2 a.m.
