Ducey to limit Valley restaurants to takeout & delivery, close all bars

Gov. Doug Ducey is limiting all restaurants in Maricopa County and five other counties to delivery and takeout. His order, which takes effect at the end of business Friday, also closes all bars.

The mandate is in effect for any county with a confirmed case of COVID-19, which includes Pinal, Pima, Navajo, Coconino, and Graham counties.

Restaurants are allowed to deliver alcoholic beverages alongside food under the mandate.

Ducey is sending the National Guard to help grocery stores and food banks.

The directive also closes theaters and gyms in affected counties and bans all elective surgeries.
