Skeptical Chymist Irish Pub in north Scottsdale is giving away free hot meals from noon to 5 p.m. today. It’s only asking for cash donations for the staff members volunteering their time to prepare the meals.
The restaurant, which is temporarily closing during the COVID-19 crisis, is offering a limited menu and requests that people limit themselves to two items. The giveaway will continue until food runs out.
Some of the menu items available: fish and chips, corned beef and cabbage, lamb shepherd’s pie, beef stew bread bowls, chicken tenders, chicken wings, bangers and mash, banger in a bun, sirloin cheeseburgers, and bread pudding.
Food will come as prepared; special requests or modifications cannot be accommodated.
People are asked to come to the front door, where orders will be taken and filled. If turnout is big, people should safely queue up along the front of the building, keeping safe social distancing.
