SanTan, Helluva are latest East Valley breweries to create hand sanitizer

SanTan Brewing and Helluva Brewing have joined the list of East Valley craft breweries that are making hand sanitizer during the coronavirus pandemic.

SanTan has partnered with Crescent Crown Distributing to convert 16,000 gallons of unsold beer into 400 gallons of medical-grade sanitizer. Most was donated to HonorHealth and the City of Chandler, but some is available to the public when you order takeout from the downtown Chandler brewpub.

Helluva in west Chandler is brewing corn mash, then handing it off to Tempe distillery Adventurous Stills for distillation. Most of the sanitizer is being donated to first responders and medical community.

As I previously reported, OHSO Brewery in Gilbert began making and donating sanitizer last month.

SanTan and OHSO remain open for takeout or delivery of beer and food. Helluva has temporarily closed to the public.
