Teakwoods Tavern & Grill, a neighborhood hangout best known for its baskets of free peanuts, has closed its flagship Chandler location after 25 years.
Notices posted at the restaurant on the southeast corner of Ray and Kyrene indicate it was shut down by the strip mall’s landlord for failure to pay rent.
A decade ago, Teakwoods had grown to four locations. Now, only the Gilbert location on the southeast corner of Gilbert and Williams Field remains open.
