In a surprise decision, Gov. Ducey announced Arizona restaurants can reopen for dine-in service next Monday, May 11.
Just last week, he said a May 12 reopening was the ‘‘best-case’’ scenario.
He also announced barbershops and salons can reopen this Friday, May 8.
Restaurants will be required to check employees for Covid-19 symptoms, limit occupancy inside their dining rooms, and physically distance diners from each other.
The decision will be left to individual restaurants whether they want to reopen May 11 or wait until later in the month.
