Good morning! Finalists for the coronavirus-delayed 2020 James Beard Awards, the Oscars of the culinary world, finally will be announced at 1 p.m. today on Twitter. Cinco de Mayo specials at MXSW sponsors
Tuesday is Cinco de Mayo, and many Mexican restaurants in the Valley are offering takeout specials. Among MXSW sponsors, Serrano’s has six-packs of tacos, $4 margaritas, and $2 beers among its specials (available all week), and La Ristra is doing eight kinds of four-person Party Packs. For something more nosh-ish, try the spicy Hot Jalapeno or Guadalajara Hot Sauce popcorns at Central Pop.
