Craft 64 fully reopens as downtown Chandler launches Dine in the Park

By Jess Harter Friday, May 22, 2020

Craft 64 Pizzeria & Pub, one of the last restaurants in downtown Chandler doing just takeout and delivery due to the Covid-19 pandemic, reopens its dining room and patio today.

The move comes as Chandler launches a new initiative, Dine in the Park, to boost downtown restaurants.

Besides the enhanced sanitizing and social distancing being practiced at all Arizona restaurants, Craft 64 has simplified its menu, offering just wood-fired pizzas and salads.

Its all-local lineup of draft beers are $5 apiece.

For now, hours are 4-8 p.m. weekdays, noon-9 p.m. Saturday, and noon-6 p.m. (Craft 64’s original Old Town Scottsdale location is open noon-9 p.m. every day.)

You can enjoy your pizza – or takeout from any downtown restaurant – in Dr. A.J. Chandler Park West, which stretches along the west side of Arizona Avenue from Boston to Buffalo streets.

The city is allowing the consumption of to-go beer and wine (no glass containers) during Dine in the Park, which will run 3-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday and noon-9 p.m. Friday-Sunday.

Diners are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs.
